Hello, I'm Chris.
I am a senior reporter at the Financial Times.
From 2014 to 2019, I was BBC Newsnight's public policy editor. In that role, I covered the 2014 Scottish independence referendum, the 2015 general election, the 2016 EU referendum and the 2017 election. After that, I worked for two years as a reporter at Tortoise. 🐢
Prior to joining the BBC, I worked at the Financial Times as a leader writer (2007-10), education correspondent (2010-13) and comment editor (2013-14).
